Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued an amendment revising the tariff ceiling for the 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected wind tender (tranche – IX) that was floated in September 2019. The ceiling for tariff was initially set at Rs 2.85 per kWh. However, SECI has revised the tariff to Rs 2.93 per kWh. According to the amendments, the entire cost of transmission, including the cost of construction of lines, wheeling charges, scheduling charges, maintenance, losses, and any other charges from the project up to the interconnection point, will be borne by the wind power developer.
