SB Energy, Fortum Solar Plus and Electro Solaire win bids for 700 MW solar park project in Raghanesda

SB Energy (SoftBank), Fortum Solar Plus Private Limited and Electro Solaire Private Limited (Engie) have won the bids for the implementation of the 700 MW solar park project (Phase III) in Raghanesda. SB Energy has won the bids for developing 250 MW capacity by quoting Rs 2.84 per kWh. Meanwhile, Fortum Solar has won the bids for developing 250 MW capacity by quoting Rs 2.89 per kWh. Electro Solaire had submitted the bids to develop 250 MW capacity, however, it has won the bids to develop 200 MW capacity by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.89 per kWh.

Earlier, seven companies had submitted bids for the development of this solar park in Raghanesda. These included- SB Energy (250 MW), Tata Power Company Limited (250 MW), Engie (250 MW), Fortum (250 MW), Mahindra (250 MW), Adani Green Energy Limited (250 MW) and Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (250 MW). With this, the tender issued by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited was oversubscribed with an aggregate capacity of 1,050 MW.
