The Gujarat government has approved a 5,000 MW solar park to be developed in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR). On its completion, this will be the largest solar park at a single location in India and will help the state achieve its RPO targets. The park is expected to cover an area of over 27,000 acres. In addition, it is expected to attract an investment of about Rs 250 billion and provide employment opportunities to more than 20,000 people by supporting opportunities for the full supply chain of manufacturing units in the Dholera International City and surrounding areas.
