IREDA plans to for a loan worth $100 million from World Bank

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) is planning to seek a loan worth $100 million from the World Bank for developing infrastructure in solar parks. In addition, the World Bank is providing low-cost financing to rooftop solar developers under a $625 million Programme for Results routed through the State Bank of India. A loan for 100 MW of projects has already been approved. These programmes are aimed at derisking financial flows and improving the availability of debt financing for the rooftop segment.
