Covenergo and Delta Capacity have collaborated to deliver the standalone AKKU One battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Lapinlahti, Finland. The project has an installed capacity of 125 MW/300 MWh. The project is expected to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2027, with project construction under way. The project was acquired as a ready-to-build asset from Helios Nordic Energy with Covenergo holding the majority stake in the project.
Furthermore, Delta Capacity is responsible for EPCM, offtake and long-term project management, while NYAB is handling balance-of-plant works and Ampner is undertaking grid connection studies and compliance verification. GreenPowerMonitor will provide the energy management and SCADA systems, with Rejlers supporting technical activities during project construction. Sungrow will supply the BESS for the project under its 1 GWh framework agreement with Delta Capacity.
In September 2026, Delta Capacity and Centrica Energy signed a partial tolling agreement for the 125 MW/300 MWh standalone Karppio BESS in Teuva, Finland. The project was acquired as a ready-to-build asset from Helios Nordic Energy. Delta Capacity will be responsible for construction and long-term asset project management. The project is being developed together with the Strioga Family Foundation with commissioning targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.
