EDPR sells 190 MWac Spanish solar portfolio to Prosolia Energy 

EDP Renováveis, S.A. (EDPR) has completed an asset rotation transaction involving the sale of a 100 per cent equity stake in a 190 MWac, or 229 MWdc solar portfolio in Spain.   The solar portfolio was sold to Prosolia Energy for an estimated enterprise value of about €0.16 billion. It comprises five operational solar power plants located across the regions of Andalucía and Castilla y León.  These assets have an average operational life of less than one year. Additionally, all projects under the portfolio are supported by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).

In December 2025, EDPR secured a 15-year PPA with an unnamed global technology company for electricity from a 200 MWac, or 279 MWdc solar project. The project is located in White County, Indiana, US, and is expected to become operational in 2027.

In December 2025, EDPR secured two long-term bundled PPAs with Energa Obrót for a 322 MW hybrid portfolio in Poland’s Wielkopolska region. The portfolio comprises of two operational wind projects with a cumulative capacity of 140 MW and two solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 182MWac, or 240 MWdc.
