Altus Power has completed the acquisition of a 234 MW portfolio of solar generation and storage assets from Greenbacker. The projects span more than 100 locations across 18 states in US. The acquired assets include long-term contracted projects serving a mix of customers, including a global e-commerce and logistics firm, a regional university, and multiple utilities.
Legal advisory for the acquisition was provided by Winston & Strawn LLP. The assets add scale to Altus Power’s distributed generation platform and increase the geographic diversity of its operating portfolio. Following this transaction, Altus Power’s operating footprint expands to 30 states and the District of Columbia. The company now owns and operates over 1.3 GW of commercial-scale and community solar projects nationwide.
In October 2025, Altus Power acquired three ground-mounted solar projects in Florida from Origis Energy. These operational projects have a combined capacity of 8.6 MW, supplying electricity to a local utility under long-term power purchase agreements.
