Origis Energy has commenced commercial operations of three additional phases of the Rockhound Solar complex located in Ector County, Texas. The newly commissioned phases will add approximately 500 MWdc of solar capacity and will bring the site’s total operational capacity to approximately 1 GWdc. Upon full completion by 2029, the complex is expected to exceed 2 GW of combined solar and energy storage capacity.
Additionally, the Rockhound complex, including the operational Swift Air Solar facilities, has been developed to meet the renewable energy needs of major global companies through long-term power supply agreements with Meta, Occidental, dsm-firmenich and Bekaert. Origis is also marketing the next 1 GW phase for data centre co-location and long-term corporate power purchase opportunities.
In March 2026, Origis Energy commenced commercial operations of the Wheatland Solar project in Knox County, Indiana. The project has a capacity of 210 MWdc, or 150 MWac, and is supported by a 20-year power purchase agreement with CenterPoint Energy. The project will supply electricity to support power reliability and resilience in CenterPoint Energy’s service area in Indiana.
