SECI issues RfS for ISTS connected wind power projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for setting up 600 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects across India under Tranche XIX. The projects can be located anywhere in India.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work entails setting up the wind project and establishing the transmission network up to the interconnection or delivery point. The scope also includes identifying land, securing ownership, and obtaining all approvals and clearances from relevant state and local authorities. Additionally, it also covers the project’s operations and maintenance throughout the power purchase agreement (PPA) period.

Furthermore, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.33 million per MW per project. The successful bidders are required to furnish a performance bank guarantee of Rs 3.33 million per MW per project. Additionally, successful bidders must ink a 25-year PPA with the SECI. The last date for bid submission is November 24, 2025.

Earlier this month, the Defence Research and Development Organisation inked a MoU with the SECI to jointly develop 300 MW of solar-based renewable energy projects.
