TATA Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, and VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) have joined forces to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in India. The partnership will focus on the recently launched Eicher Pro X range of small commercial vehicles.
Furthermore, under this partnership, the two companies will work together to help truck and bus operators adopt electric vehicles (EVs) in their operations. Tata Power Company will bring its wide EV charging network and expertise in customised charging solutions. VECV will apply its knowledge of energy efficiency to optimise power use in electric trucks, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of end-users and their applications. Additionally, the two companies will also engage with Eicher trucks and buses customers to drive the shift towards electric mobility.
Furthermore, the partnership will aim to create and implement innovative solutions to tackle challenges, including range anxiety, limited charging infrastructure, and associated costs. It will also support the rollout of additional models from Eicher’s extensive EV portfolio.
Earlier in August 2025, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited inked a MoU with M/s Magna Yuma Private Limited for augmenting and setting up EV battery swapping stations across its operational areas.
