SWREL bags Rs 4.15 billion order for solar project in Rajasthan

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured a letter of intent (LoI) from a private power producer for the balance-of-system work and the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a solar photovoltaic (PV) project. The project has a capacity of 300 MW AC  and is situated in Rajasthan.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work entails the design, engineering, and supply of PV system components (excluding modules). It also consists of installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project along with the development of a 220/33 kV pooling substation. Furthermore, the tax-inclusive contract value, including operations and maintenance service, is approximately Rs 4.15 billion.

Earlier in August 2025, SWERL was declared as the lowest bidder for the EPC of a 245 MW AC grid-connected solar PV project in the state of Gujarat.

Furthermore, in April 2025, SWREL secured multiple domestic projects, including a 127 MW AC hybrid wind-solar project and a separate solar project in Rajasthan.
