Sembcorp to develop floating solar project in Singapore

Sembcorp Industries, through its subsidiary Sembcorp Solar Singapore, has been selected by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, to develop an 86 MWp floating solar photovoltaic project on Pandan Reservoir. This is reportedly the company’s third floating solar project in Singapore. 

In March 2025,  Sembcorp Solar Singapore Pte Ltd inked a 25-year renewable energy purchase agreement with Malkoha, a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, to build, own, and operate a 150 MWp floating solar project in Singapore. The project will support Meta’s regional operations including its data centers. Construction for the project is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.
