Suryam International Private Limited has emerged as the winner of Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) green ammonia auction under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Programme (Mode-2A–Tranche-I). Suryam International will supply 4,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green ammonia to Madras Fertilisers in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, for 10 years. The capacity was secured at a tariff of Rs 50 per kg.
Moreover, this marks the last auction in a planned series of 13 green ammonia auctions, under a tender aggregating a cumulative procurement capacity of 724,000 tonnes per year.
Recently, in August 2025, SCC Infrastructure Private Limited and InSolare Energy Limited emerged as the winning bidder of SECI’s twelfth auction at a tariff of Rs 57.65 per kg. The companies will supply 15,000 TPA of green ammonia to Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers in Karnataka.
