JSW Energy, through its subsidiary JSW Neo Energy, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The PPA pertains to the supply of 230 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) from interstate transmission system-connected projects across India.
The electricity will be supplied at a tariff of Rs 4.98 per kWh for a period of 25 years. The project was awarded under SECI’s FDRE Tranche IV, and this agreement reportedly marks JSW Energy’s first PPA for an FDRE project.
Earlier this month, JSW Energy signed a 25-year PPA with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited for a 100 MW grid-connected solar project with 100 MWh battery energy storage system in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district at a tariff of Rs 4.31 per kWh.
