NTPC REL inks MoU with GEDA to develop 300 MW clean energy projects in Goa

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has signed a MoU with the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) for the development of renewable energy projects in Goa. The agreement outlines plans to establish solar and hybrid energy projects with a cumulative capacity of 300 MW or more. Additionally, energy storage systems may also be integrated into the proposed developments in the future.

Earlier this month, NTPC REL commissioned 409 MW of solar capacity across Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, including the full 220 MW Shajapur project, a 142.2 MW unit of the 300 MW Khavda solar project, and a 146.7 MW unit of its 1,255 MW Khavda-I project.
