V-Green has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with four partners to deploy 63,000 charging ports for VinFast electric vehicles across Indonesia by the end of 2025. This marks more than double the initial target. The collaboration involves a total investment of $300 million, with partners Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS contributing significantly.
The charging stations will be spread across major Indonesian provinces, including Jabodatebek, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan, and Bali, with the first stations expected to go live in June 2025. This expansion is a part of V-Green’s broader strategy to develop a comprehensive green mobility ecosystem for VinFast in Southeast Asia.
The company has committed to investing in 20 per cent of the stations, with the remainder funded through business cooperation contracts. The initiative also highlights the potential for green transportation in Indonesia, a market undergoing rapid transition to electric vehicles.
