Hexa Climate acquires Fortum’s renewable energy portfolio in India

Hexa Climate Solutions has completed the acquisition of Fortum’s (a Finnish energy firm) renewable energy assets in India. The deal includes a full 100 per cent stake in Fortum India, comprising Fortum’s 206 MW commercial and industrial renewable energy portfolio. Additionally, it also includes approximately 600 MW of ready-to-build renewable energy projects. The financial terms of the transaction have reportedly not been disclosed. 

Hexa Climate Solutions is Gurugram-based renewable energy and decarbonisation independent power producer platform. The company is backed by the New York-based infrastructure investment firm I Squared Capital. The company has stated plans to invest up to $500 million to grow its operations in renewable energy, water, and carbon platforms across India and other emerging markets.
