NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has floated a tender for 7.2 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The solar projects will be set up in 26 buildings under Assam Rifles in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. The bid submission deadline is December 2, 2024.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes designing, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the system as per design and specifications. The developer has to provide a suitable solar module cleaning/ water washing system, remote monitoring system, and operation and maintenance for ten years. Further, the project has to be connected to the existing mains/ACDB/feeder pillars and interface internal electrical loads of the project’s license’s network/electrical loads. The winning bidder will have to get approval for interfacing the project with grid/electrical loads from the distribution licensee or the Central Electricity Inspectorate Government.
It is essential that bidders provide a permanent staircase/ladder with a minimum width of 1 meter, that gives rooftop access to all buildings where the rooftop solar systems are installed and that the manufacturers provide solar panels, inverters, and solar meters with an extended warranty of ten years. Additionally, the bidders have to submit a bid security of Rs 5 million and they must be Class-I -local or Class-II local suppliers. The timeline of the project is seven months.
In August 2024, NVVN issued a tender inviting bids for a 7.131 MW rooftop solar project. These projects would be grid-connected and located in different areas in Bihar and Jharkhand.
