BluPine expands renewable portfolio with acquisition of 369 MW solar assets from ACME

BluPine Energy has broadened its renewable energy portfolio through the acquisition of 369 MW of solar power assets from the ACME Group. The agreement encompasses 14 solar projects under special purpose vehicles situated in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Karnataka. Following this transaction, BluPine’s overall renewable capacity has increased to 2.4 GW.

Supported by an $800 million investment from Actis’ Energy Fund, BluPine Energy is striving to establish a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 4 GW within India, through its solar, wind, and storage assets.

Recently, in February 2024, BluPine, along with ACME and other companies, won NHPC’s auction for the supply of 1.5 GW of reliable and dispatchable renewable power from projects connected to the inter-state transmission system, equipped with energy storage systems, across India. BluPine Energy won 100 MW while ACME Cleantech Solutions won 680 MW by quoting Rs 4.63 per kWh and Rs 4.64 per kWh, respectively.
