Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) announced that it has received letter of Intent for the acquisition of Halvad Transmission Limited from PFC Consulting Limited. Acquired as a part of tariff-based competitive bidding process, AESL will complete the construction within 24 months on the basis of build, own operate, and maintain (BOOM) model.
With a 30,000 MW green energy generating capacity, Khavda, Gujarat, is set to become the site of the largest renewable energy park in the world. By connecting Khavda and Halvad, both in Gujarat, the national grid’s Halvad transmission line will support in the evacuation of 7 GW of renewable energy. AESL is set to invest approximately Rs 30 billion for the transmission project, spanning over 301 km (656 ckm), for a duration of 35 years. The project entails line-in line-out of the Lakadia–Ahmedabad 765 kV D/c line at Halvad and the establishment of a 765 kV Halvad switching station with two 330 MVAr bus reactors.
In October 2023, AESL successfully commissioned the Karur transmission project for the evacuation of 2,500 MW of energy from clean sources. The project is located in Karur/Tiruppur wind energy zone of Tamil Nadu.
