During climate week 2023 in the New York city, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), the Consulate General of India in New York, and ReNew hosted a targeted roundtable on the ‘US- India Climate Partnership and Emerging Opportunities’.
The closed-door roundtable discussions on new opportunities for US-India partnership in clean energy, research, and innovation were held with a diverse group of business leaders from the clean energy sector and top government officials at the Indian Consulate in New York City. A report on ‘India’s global leadership on climate action’ was released at the event.
The United States and India are at the forefront of the worldwide shift towards clean energy, demonstrating a strong commitment to cooperation in energy supply chains, financial matters, business partnerships, and research and development. The group emphasised the importance of accelerating countries and communities in achieving their 2030 emission reduction goals as a top priority. These discussions play a pivotal role in putting into action various specific commitments that have been jointly announced by both India and the US.
