NTPC issues EPC tender for 260 MW solar project

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued a request for proposals for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 260 MW grid-connected solar project. The project will be located in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The scope of work encompasses solar module supply in addition to design, engineering, manufacture, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects. The chosen developer will also take charge of operating and maintaining the project for three years. The bid submission deadline is June 6, 2024.

To be eligible, the bidders must be developers or possess prior experience in the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of solar projects with at least total installed capacity of 40 MW. There should be at least one project with a capacity of 10 MW or above, which must have been operational for a minimum of six months before the bid opening date. Alternatively, as developers or EPC contractors in the power, steel, oil, gas, petrochemical, fertiliser, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry, bidders must have completed an industrial project worth Rs 2.4 billion in the previous ten years. Furthermore As developers or EPC contractors, bidders must have completed a minimum of one electrical substation with a voltage level of 33 kV or more, including equipment such power transformers and circuit breakers at that voltage level. The substation must have been successfully operating for at least one year for projects outside the renewable energy sector, or at least six months for electrical substations in the solar or wind sector, prior to the bid opening date.
