SECI has invited Request for Selection bids for the development of 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche VI) across the country on build, own and operate basis.
According to the tender guidelines, SECI will sign a PPA with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years. Further, the wind power developers (WPD) must bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 600 MW. Also, the WPD will set up wind power projects including the transmission network up to the delivery point. Moreover, the WPD must report tie-up of 100 per cent of the financing arrangements for the projects within seven months from the effective date of the PPA in the form of a loan sanction letter for debt component and board resolution for equity contribution. The last date for bid submission is February 5, 2019.
