The project development arm of Korea-based LG Group has secured the rights to develop a 55 MW solar PV plant in Japan, which will be owned and operated by Canadian Solar. Seoul-based Hanwha Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Hanwha Group, will serve as the chief financier of the project. The solar farm is expected to start commercial operations by May 2018.
