Hindustan Power has received a letter of intent (LoI) to explore the Padhar Platinum Group Elements (PGE) block in Madhya Pradesh. The block spans around 200 square km and has been identified as a promising area for PGE exploration, which is critical for advanced industrial uses and energy transition technologies.
The LoI was issued following an e-auction conducted by the Union Ministry of Mines, where the company emerged as the preferred bidder marking its entry into India’s critical minerals sector.
Earlier in November 2025, Hindustan Power emerged as a winner of a bid from the Solar Energy Corporation of India for the development of a solar and battery energy storage project.
