ACME Group, through its green hydrogen and ammonia business, has inked a 10-year binding green ammonia purchase agreement (GAPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). The agreement covers a supply capacity of 370,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of green ammonia. The total contract value is estimated at around Rs 200 billion over the 10-year period. This development follows the letters of award received by ACME from SECI in August 2025 and September 2025.
Under the agreement, ACME Group will set up a green ammonia facility in Odisha. The contracted volume of green ammonia will be supplied to six major fertiliser plants located across five states. SECI will act as an intermediary aggregator and has inked corresponding green ammonia sale agreements (GASA) with fertiliser companies. The supply allocations include 100,000 tpa each to Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited’s Kandla plant in Gujarat and Paradeep plant in Odisha. Additionally, Paradeep Phosphates Limited will receive 75,000 tpa at its Paradeep plant in Odisha and 25,000 tpa at its Goa facility. India Potash Limited’s Haldia plant in West Bengal will be supplied with 20,000 tpa, while Coromandel International Limited’s Visakhapatnam plant in Andhra Pradesh will receive 50,000 tpa.
Earlier in January 2026, ACME Group and the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited planned to establish a 200 kilo tpa green methanol manufacturing facility in the Kendrapada district of the state of Odisha.
