NLC India inks MoU with Gujarat government for renewable energy projects

NLC India Limited has inked a MoU with the Gujarat government for the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in the state. The projects include solar, wind, hybrid, and battery energy storage systems. These projects represent an estimated investment potential of Rs 250 billion.

According to the MoU, the projects will be implemented through NLC India Renewables Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited. Furthermore, the Gujarat government will support the project by expediting statutory approvals, clearances, and registrations. Moreover, the MoU is non-binding, and the initiative is expected to create significant employment opportunities.

Earlier in December 2025, NLC India Limited secured a letter of award for the development of a 110 MWac grid-connected solar photovoltaic power project.
