Global Infrastructure Partners to invest up to Rs 30 billion in ABREN

Aditya Birla Renewables Limited (ABREN), a Grasim subsidiary, has finalised an investment of up to Rs 30 billion from Global Infrastructure Partners. The arrangement includes a commitment of Rs 20 billion, along with a greenshoe option for an additional Rs 10 billion.

The investment translates into an enterprise value of around Rs 146 billion for ABREN. Furthermore, the investment is among the largest primary minority-stake investments in an Indian renewables platform.

Earlier in August 2025, ABREN provided KPIG Energia (a KPI Green Energy subsidiary) with a letter of award for a 64 MWac/96 MWp solar balance of system power project in Gujarat.

Furthermore, earlier in June 2025, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank subscribed to approximately Rs 13.01 billion of non-convertible debentures issued by Aditya Birla Capital to accelerate financing in the renewable energy and E-mobility sectors.
