JA Solar has secured an order to supply modules for the 99 MW Korlat solar PV project in Croatia. The project is under construction. China Northern International Group in collaboration with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corporation Limited is developing the project. It aligns with Croatia’s national energy vision, which aims to achieve 88 per cent renewable electricity generation by 2050.
Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 165 million kWh of clean energy annually and will help to offset nearly 150,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. JA Solar’s DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules will be used in the project. The project reflects the growing China-Croatia partnership in the clean energy space and is expected to support local economic activity.
Earlier in January 2025, JA Solar completed the delivery of high-performance n-type PV modules to the 1 GW PV project at the Ulan Buh Desert Northeast New Energy Base initiative in China. This energy base is envisioned as a significant hub for wind and solar power, with a planned capacity of 12 GW.
