Shree Cement Limited has reported that more than 60 per cent of its total electricity consumption is sourced from renewable energy sources. Its renewable capacity currently stands at 582 MW. Additionally, the company recently commissioned a 60.3 MW solar plant in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The company continues to expand its renewable infrastructure through large-scale investments in solar power, wind energy, and waste heat recovery systems. These installations are integrated across its manufacturing units into various stages of production. The company is also adopting data-driven energy management systems to further enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, renewable energy is being incorporated into the company’s value chain, from sourcing and production to packaging and logistics.
Shree Cement Limited, incorporated in 1979, is a major Indian cement producer with an installed cement production capacity of about 62.8 million tonnes annually. The company operates multiple cement plants across India and owns large limestone reserves.
