Serentica Renewables announced the signing of definitive agreements under which leading global investment firm KKR will invest an additional $250 million in the company.
This latest investment, which builds on the $400 million investment made by KKR in November 2022 will support Serentica’s effort to achieve 4,000 MW of installed renewable energy capacity that will help in clean energy delivery to large-scale industrial customers.
In addition, Serentica has recently signed a new set of Power Delivery Agreements (PDAs) to deliver round-the-clock green energy to some of the leading industrial customers in India. It is also in the process of developing solar and wind power projects across Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.It aims to supply over 16 billion units of clean energy annually and displace 20 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions in the medium term.
In November 2022, Serentica Renewables entered into an agreement with Greenko Group for 1.5 GWh of energy storage capacity as part of its plans to provide round-the-clock supply of renewable energy to its various industrial clients.
