Celsia has acquired a 675 MW renewable energy portfolio from Mainstream Renewable Power. The portfolio consists of solar and wind energy projects, which are at various stages of development. The solar projects are Andromeda and Pollux, each with a capacity of 100 MW, and Aries with a capacity of 175 MW.
The solar projects Andromeda, Pollux, and Aries are situated in Sucre, Casanare, and Córdoba, respectively. The wind projects in the portfolio are Neptuno and Sirius, each with a capacity of 150 MW, located in La Guajira. Furthermore, Andromeda is the only project for which the entire pre-construction phase has been completed. Other projects of the portfolio are in earlier stages of development.
Celsia is a Colombia based energy company and a part of the Grupo Argos. It aims to have 1,000 MW of solar and wind energy operational in Colombia by 2027. It currently has 300 MW of non-conventional renewable energy under construction.
