DAS Solar has launched its fourth-generation flexible mounting system, designed to reach heights of up to 9 metres. The system offers two span options: a medium span of 20 metres and a large span of 40 metres. Built on a space cable net structure, the system employs prestressed tension in the east-west direction to control mid-span deflection, while a stable cable system in the north-south direction reinforces structural stability. This unique design enhances torsional stiffness and introduces effective damping, minimising the impact of wind-induced vibrations on PV modules. In addition, the system incorporates a mechanical locking design to prevent bolt loosening caused by wind-induced vibrations, thereby reducing the risk of micro-cracking. The mounting system requires only 30 bolts per string, significantly fewer than competing systems that use up to 228 bolts. This system helps streamline installation while ensuring long-term stability.
