Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (GEDCOL) has issued a tender for selection of consultants for a 55-60 MW solar project. The project will be located in Boudh, Odisha.
The scope of work under the project includes performing a topography and contour survey, which encompasses benchmarking from the nearest great trigonometrical survey benchmark, outlining the designated park boundary through the utilisation of total station equipment or a differential global positioning system, and creating a contour plan with spot levels. The consultant is also required to perform standard penetration tests, gather both undisturbed and disturbed soil samples, ascertain groundwater tables, and carry out diverse tests including moisture content, bulk, dry density, specific gravity, and particle size distribution. The work also encompasses construction of precast concrete boundary pillars at various peripheral locations and benchmark posts at different points.
The winning consultants are required to submit 10 per cent of total contract value as bank guarantee. The consultants are required to complete the work within four months of work order issuance. The bid submission deadline is November 22, 2023. In January 2022, NHPC Limited signed an agreement with GEDCOL to form a joint venture for setting up 500 MW floating solar power projects in Odisha.
