NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for balance of system (BoS) package to set up 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind projects with an additional greenshoe option of 300 MW. The projects will be set up in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes designing, engineering, micro-sitting, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and validation of guaranteed performance parameters. This involves installing wind projects of 3 MW or more, starting from the 33 kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation till ISTS substation. The bid submission deadline is December 27, 2023.
To be eligible, prospective bidders must have secured land or conducted micro-siting for wind turbines in wind power projects, achieving a combined installed capacity of 40 MW or greater. Additionally, at least one of these projects should have had a capacity exceeding 10 MW and been operational for a minimum of six months prior to the bid opening date. Additionally, under the tender, wind turbine generators must be issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, listed in Revised list of Models and Manufacturers.
Recently, in November 2023, NTPC REL issued BoS package tender for 1,080 MW ISTS connected wind project in Karnataka.
