TPCDT partners with CGPL to install rooftop solar in households under Suryoday project in Gujarat

The Tata Power Community Development Trust (TPCDT) has partnered with Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL) to install rooftop solar in Tunda village, Gujarat, under the Suryoday project. The project aims to provide all the households with rooftop solar PV systems without battery banks, which would be connected to the grid. Currently, work is in progress, and so far 17 households have been connected to the grid. The vendor for the project to install rooftop systems has been identified by GEDA. The total cost of the Suryoday project is estimated at Rs 69,500 million per household per kWp. It is being funded by the central government, state government, CGPL, TPCDT and the village community.
