The Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission has updated its 2015 regulations on net and gross metering for rooftop solar power plants, which will apply to all discoms and their consumers. With this, the state government hopes to increase rooftop solar capacity in Bihar so that the state discoms can meet their renewable purchase obligation (RPO) targets. The draft regulations are open to comments and suggestions.
