Switzerland is planning to replace its current FiT scheme for residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems with a rebate scheme from 2018 onwards. From 2018, FiTs will be paid only to projects for which contracts were signed before mid-2012. All other PV systems will be funded through the rebate scheme, which will guarantee a maximum subsidy of 30 per cent of the investment costs. Currently, the investment subsidy is provided only for PV systems up to 30 kW in size.
