SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has commissioned the complete 1,000 MW capacity of the Bikaner solar power project in Rajasthan. The project represents an investment of Rs 54.92 billion and is anticipated to generate approximately 2,454.55 million units of electricity in its first year of operation.
Furthermore, the project will generate approximately 56,838 million units of electricity over a 25-year period. It was implemented under the domestic content requirement mode using domestically manufactured solar cells and modules.
Earlier this month, SJVN invited bids to develop 2 GW of energy storage capacity through pumped storage projects across the country.
Furthermore, in August 2025, SGEL issued an engineering procurement and construction tender for 500 MW solar projects.
