Adani Group has entered into the battery energy storage systems (BESS) market with a 1,126 MW/3,530 MWh project in Khavda, Gujarat. The project entails the deployment of 700 BESS containers. Furthermore, it is currently in the advanced stages of development and will be commissioned by March 2026. Moreover, the project is being developed with lithium-ion battery technology and is also being integrated with advanced energy management systems.
Earlier in June 2025, Adani Group announced the commissioning of a 5 MW off-grid green hydrogen pilot plant in Kutch, Gujarat.
Furthermore, in January 2025, Adani Group announced plans to invest Rs 600 billion to expand its power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.
