SECI issues tender to select contractor for BoS of BESS in Andhra Pradesh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) to select a contractor for balance of system (BoS) of a 600 MW/1,200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The project will be located at Nandiyal, Andhra Pradesh. 

The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, and supply of equipment and materials, excluding the BESS containers, PCS, EMS, and related cables. It also covers testing at manufacturers’ works, multiple levels of inspections, packing, forwarding, supply, receipt, unloading, and storage at the site, associated civil works, services, obtaining necessary permits, licenses, installation and incidentals, insurance at all stages. The erection, testing, and commissioning of the BESS project, along with five years of operation and maintenance, are also part of the scope.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 86,600 per MW. The last date of bid submission is September 22, 2025.

Earlier this month, SECI issued a RfP to select a supplier for a 600 MW/1,200 MWh standalone grid-connected BESS in Andhra Pradesh.
