Hynamics UK and Hy24 join forces to develop green hydrogen project in UK

Hynamics UK and Hy24 have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop and pursue funding of the Fawley green hydrogen project. The Fawley project was shortlisted in the UK government’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 2 (HAR2) subsidy scheme.

Furthermore, the MoU also represents the start of negotiations with Hy24, through its Clean Hydrogen Infrastructure Fund, to develop and finance a €300 million hydrogen electrolytic production facility in Fawley. The project intends to provide green hydrogen to the ExxonMobil petrochemical complex as part of its decarbonisation strategy. The project will include a 120 MW electrolyser, which could potentially save up to 100,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

Hynamics is a subsidiary of EDF Group and is committed to the production and distribution of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen to invent and build a more sustainable future. The company designs, installs, and operates hydrogen production stations and synthetic fuel manufacturing plants for maritime and air transport.
