DTE Energy has announced the completion of construction at the Pine River Solar Park. Situated in Pine River Township, mid-Michigan, the 80 MW solar facility features over 180,000 panels and will produce enough clean energy to supply nearly 20,000 homes.
Pine River Solar is the second of DTE’s three new solar parks set to connect to the grid in 2025. The company is also building five more parks. These projects are funded by DTE’s voluntary CleanVision MIGreenPower program.
In March 2025, DTE Energy issued a request for proposal for standalone energy storage projects with a capacity of approximately 450 MW. Interested bidders can submit their bids by June 27, 2025 and DTE expects to finalise contracts by the first quarter of 2026.
