SJVN Green Energy invites bids for 1,352 MW solar projects in Maharashtra

SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has issued a tender to develop 1,352 MW solar projects across 102 sites in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0. The last day to submit the bids is January 16, 2025. The projects will be distributed across four districts: Pune (154 MW at nine locations), Nashik (304 MW at 22 locations), Ahmednagar (315 MW at 19 locations), and Solapur (579 MW at 52 locations).

The consultancy tender for these projects was issued in September 2024. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit a bid processing fee of Rs 1.5 million and an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.27 million per MW.

According to the eligibility criteria, bidders must have a minimum net worth of Rs 12.7 million per MW as of the end of the last financial year, and a minimum annual turnover of Rs 19 million per MW during the past three financial years. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate an internal resource generation capability, measured as profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes, of at least Rs 3.8 million per MW of quoted capacity. Furthermore, to meet working capital requirements, bidders must provide an approval letter from lending institutions confirming a line of credit of at least Rs 10.6 million per MW of quoted capacity.

The tender requires the deployment of solar photovoltaic technology, allowing crystalline silicon or thin-film modules, with or without trackers. Bidders must use commercially established and operational technologies to minimise technology risk and ensure timely project commissioning. The photovoltaic modules deployed must be listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s List-I under the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.
