Air Liquide has issued a new €500 million green bond to finance or refinance flagship energy transition and sustainable projects. The projects will particularly focus on low-carbon hydrogen, carbon capture, and low-carbon air gases.
Furthermore, the company has raised this bond with a maturity period of 10 years at a yield of 3.466 per cent. The bond is issued under the company’s Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme.
In November 2023, Air Liquide and Siemens Energy inaugurated their gigawatt-scale electrolyser factory in Berlin, Germany. The mass production of electrolyser components will enable the production of low-carbon hydrogen on an industrial scale and at a competitive cost. The recently opened new production facility covers over 2,000 square metres.
