THDC India Limited has issued a request for proposals to invite consultants for preparing a detailed project report (DPR) to set up a 1,000 MW ultra-mega solar park, phase I. To be located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the park will be developed within a 2,000 MW solar park in the state. With the proposed project area of 10,000 acres, the work must be done at Bodana village, Nachana I tehsil, Jaisalmer. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 9.62 million.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit Rs 96,200 as an earnest money deposit. Within 15 days of receiving the letter of award, the selected bidders are required to furnish a performance bank guarantee equaling 5 per cent of the contract value. The bid submission deadline is January 30, 2024.
The DPR should include a site engineering evaluation, reports on soil testing, analysis of solar radiation resources, topographical information, hydrology data, load flow assessment for the planned substation, environmental impact evaluation, and social impact assessment, among other relevant components. The developer is required to furnish the anticipated solar power expenses within the park and outline the project execution timeline. Additionally, they must provide information regarding the transmission capacity accessibility up to the endpoint, both within the state and across state lines.

In October 2023, THDC India Limited issued tender for engineering, procurement, and construction of a 11 MW AC floating solar project at the Khurja super thermal plant site at Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
