KERC has issued an order directing all state discoms to procure wind power according to the MoP’s competitive bidding guidelines for wind power projects in India. KERC’s order is immediately applicable and the new benchmark tariff will apply from March 31, 2018. This move came after KERC’s latest revision of wind tariffs in 2017 and is expected to result in the smoother implementation of wind power projects across the country.
