SECI plans to develop 200 MW of ISTS-connected renewable energy projects

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a notice inviting proposals for the development of renewable energy projects that would be connected with the inter-state transmission system. According to SECI, 200 MW of renewable energy projects will be developed which would supply power to the New Delhi Municipal Corporation and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The projects can be developed anywhere in India on build-own-operate basis. SECI will sign power purchase agreements with developers for a period of 25 years. The documents for this tender are expected to be made available on October 15, 2019.

SECI is the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) arm responsible for holding wind and solar auctions.
