LS Power closes $6 billion Fund VI

LS Power has closed its sixth fund, LS Power Equity Partners VI (Fund VI), with total commitments of approximately $6 billion. Launched earlier in January 2026, the fund exceeded its initial target of $4 billion and reached its $6 billion hard cap by July 2026. Fund VI will invest in renewables, conventional power generation, energy storage, distributed energy resources, and other energy infrastructure assets.

Furthermore, the fund is already being deployed, with approximately $1.7 billion committed to investments linked to LS Power’s pending acquisition of gas-fired generation assets from Constellation Energy. These assets will form a 5 GW platform across the Mid-Atlantic and Texas power markets. With this fund, LS Power has raised approximately $19.8 billion in equity commitments across its flagship funds and other investment partnerships since inception.

Earlier, in December 2025, LS Power completed the acquisition of bp’s onshore wind operations in US, that is bp Wind Energy North America Inc., adding around 1,300 MW of operating wind capacity across 10 projects to its portfolio. The transaction has met all the required regulatory and closing conditions.
