Constellation and Toyota Motor North America have signed a 15-year renewable energy agreement to support new solar generation in US. Under the agreement, Constellation will purchase power from the 203.97 MW Milano solar project located in Milam County, Texas. The agreement covers more than 115 MW of solar capacity, representing approximately 246,000 MWh of annual generation.
Furthermore, Toyota will receive renewable energy certificates (RECs) generated by the project over the 15-year term. The project is expected to commence commercial operations in September 2027 and is being developed by Ferrovial Energy. The agreement also supports Toyota’s goal of matching 100 per cent of its electricity consumption with renewable energy across North America.
In January 2026, Lightsource bp and Toyota Motor North America concluded a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) linked to electricity from the 231 MW Jones City 2 solar project in Texas, US. The project forms part of the larger Jones City energy center and entered the construction phase in spring 2025. The Jones City energy center has a cumulative capacity of 700 MW.
